FAQ zone

We know you’ve got questions (lots of them!). That’s why we’ve made things simple by answering the ones we hear most often.

What you need to know (minus the jargon)

Are you independent?

Yes! Our independence is central to everything we do. We pride ourselves on giving independent advice without conflict.

Are you regulated?

Yes, we’re directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can view our profile on the FCA Register here.

What it’s like to work with us

How do I start working with you?

Get in touch so we can set up an initial chat to see if we can help you. You can contact us via our contact page here or give us a call on 020 8125 4829.

What happens if you can’t help me?

We rarely meet someone who we cannot help in some way or another. Even if we cannot formally engage, we are happy to direct you to helpful resources and/or services we think will help.

What if I’m not wealthy enough to work with you?

Unlike traditional financial advisers, our service does not centre on how wealthy you are. We have different services designed to help clients at various stages of their financial journeys, so please don’t worry about this.

How often could I speak with you?

We will meet formally at least once a year, but we remain available and very happy to speak at any point throughout the year. It’s important that you can speak to us whenever you need to – it’s a big part of the service we offer.

What to expect when we meet

Where are meetings held?

We’re based in London, but we have clients all around the UK. We’re happy to meet in person or online, we have access to offices in various locations to suit all, or we’re happy to come to you.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No, we like to get to know you first and see whether we can help you. There is no charge for this meeting, and you are under no obligation to proceed.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

Yourself! And any information you think might be relevant but it’s not essential in the first instance.

Should I attend with my husband/wife/partner?

Although we are happy to work with you individually, we find that our planning is best carried out with both partners present. Even if you keep your finances separate, there is huge value in planning together.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

Anything from 30 minutes to a couple of hours depending on what you would like to discuss. We know our clients value flexibility, so we like to be flexible with our services.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

No! We must get to know each other properly first before either of us commits to work together.

How we charge

What do you charge for a financial plan?

You can view our fees here.

Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?

We offer a personalised charging structure that relates directly to the type of work, the complexity and the value we can add. Sometimes, this is reflected by a percentage charge and sometimes not. We always provide a clear breakdown of our fees upfront, ensuring you have all the details before deciding to move forward with us.
